What Lies Beneath

Wednesday 29 May

Come and see what strange objects have been found at the bottom of our canals before taking a closer look at the wildlife which lies beneath the surface with our underwater camera. At the end of the day, we’ll be setting moth traps ready for the morning discovery!

What Flies Above

Thursday 30 May

A peacock butterfly lands on ivy. It has bright red colouring with black markings and blue spots, resembling the 'eyes' of peacock feathers.

We’ll be looking at our moth traps to see which types visited the museum overnight (before releasing them back into the wild again!). Then it’s binoculars at the ready to take a closer inspection of which birds live on the canals.
